  • To prepare students with technical competence for successful and productive careers or advanced studies/research in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • To provide students an ability to critically analyze the complex engineering problems and research skill to arrive at optimal feasible solutions.
  • To prepare students to extract information on unsolved problems through literature survey and apply appropriate research methodologies, techniques, design and conduct experiments for the development of scientific/technical knowledge in the domain of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • To provide students an ability to apply modern engineering and IT tools to complex engineering activities with a clear understanding of appropriate selection techniques and limitations associated with it.
  • To develop the ability amongst students to assess societal, health, safety, legal, cultural and environmental issues and relevant engineering responsibilities by applying reasoned contextual knowledge and understand its impact towards sustainable development.
  • To inculcate awareness about professional ethics and norms of engineering practice in students.
  • To prepare students with an ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate knowledge and sound understanding of electronics and communication engineering and management principles and apply these as an individual or as a team member or a leader in diverse teams and in managing projects in multi-disciplinary settings.

  • Graduates will be able to introspect the outcomes of one’s actions and take corrective measures subsequently and also learn from mistakes.
  • Graduates will demonstrate an in depth knowledge of Electronics and Communication Engineering to discriminate, evaluate, analyse and synthesize existing and new knowledge.
  • Graduates will demonstrate an innovative thinking to conceptualize and solve complex engineering problems, design and conduct experiments, and evaluate a feasible optimal solution that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • Graduates will create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • Graduates will demonstrate the research-based knowledge and research methods to extract unsolved problems through literature survey, analyse and interpret data, synthesize the information and higher order skill to view things in broader perspective in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering for the development of scientific/technical knowledge.
  • Graduates will be able to communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  • Graduates will be able to demonstrate understanding of group dynamics, recognize opportunities and contribute as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
