  • To acquaint the students with the basic geographical concepts and theories with a view to understand various social, cultural, economic and political institutions and processes.
  • To understand dynamics of geographical factors, spatial organization, areal differentiation and learn to manage resources.
  • To impart in- depth analytical knowledge of geography based on critical understanding of spatial variables.
  • To critically analyze the factors that brought about spatial changes in various regions.
