  • To provide students the competency to identify, formulate, analyse and solve problems related to the Building Construction, with specific reference to high rise structures, by applying the knowledge and skills acquired.
  • To prepare students in teamwork, leadership and impart communication skills to effectively conduct themselves in an ethical manner as responsible professionals, with focus on society and environment.
  • To expose students to new materials, trends & construction technologies and associated best practices in pursuit of excellence.
  • To prepare students to plan and manage assigned projects with given resources to accomplish them individually and / or in a team with Construction Industry norms and standards.
  • To enable the students to acquire the mandated level of proficiency and expertise in a few specified job roles available in the Construction Industry, with necessary certification with sensitivity towards environment and sustainability.
  • To prepare students for the organizational and technical complexities of the Construction Sector.
  • To motivate students to pursue higher specialization, develop spirit of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in construction of buildings and its related new technologies.
  • Apply the knowledge and skills related to building construction and associated areas for optimum functioning in this sector.
  • Formulate practical solutions to routine problems and bottle necks in construction of high-rise buildings, including maintenance, repair and rehabilitation with new materials and techniques.
  • Demonstrate curiosity towards new developments and open mind to new ideas, to prevent professional stagnation and help progression.
  • Demonstrate capability to exploit the ICT tools for planning and project management of construction sector, with specific application to the buildings.
  • Express clearly and effectively at individual and group/team levels, own ideas, organization goals, problem analysis and solutions and present status reviews.
  • Conduct field and site activities related to building construction with necessary communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Formulate creative and innovative solutions in building construction with consideration of public health, safety as well social, environmental and cost effectiveness factors.
  • Analyze the technical building drawings and layouts for unhindered and timely construction, maintenance and renovations.
  • Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader of a diverse team.
  • Recognize the need to appreciate complexities arising out of diverse human behaviour in the chosen sector and develop a broad horizon in pursuit of world wide perspective.
  • Demonstrate ethical principles/norms and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities.
  • Understand social equality and diversity and develop skills required to be a good professional and global citizen.
  • Formulate and Apply competencies for pursuing, exploiting and further developing opportunities to become a successful entrepreneur in the Construction Sector.
