A webinar on ‘Prospering Career with English Literature: Compatibility and Accountability’ was conducted by Prof. Nutan Kumari, Program Leader - Amity University Patna. The interactive session saw Prof. Kumari share her experience and her journey in the field of English language. She recalled how her English learning was initiated by her grandfather at home who was a gazetted officer. She shared that students who know English will be in demand as most of the material in the digital space is available in English. Beginning as a school teacher, Prof. Kumari gradually moved towards teaching higher classes, corporates and even started conducting trainings. She averred that in order to attain personal and professional goals and have a decent lifestyle, communication should be perfect and shared four pillars of communication including LSRW skills. “Language labs have become an integral part of teaching and learning process,” stated Prof. Kumari. She also stated the difference between professional and traditional courses, the importance each held and if students are provided ample opportunity to develop the core skills of communication, they would be more inclined towards traditional courses.
