A webinar on ‘Managing Stress and Wellness’ was conducted by Mr. Chandrakant Deoda - Mentor – Sahaja Yoga Meditation that enlightened students on how to manage stress and maintain wellness using Sahaj Yoga. Mr. Nishchal Kapoor, Global Head at IBM Cloud also shared his views on how to manage stress. Students were given the experience of balancing and self-realization along with a practical experience to alter their life. Mr. Kapoor shared that stress is often the cause of most of our worries and is not being able to meet the expectations of outcomes of how you wanted it to be. “It’s a mental projection. When you are anxious, multiple projections happen in your body leading to physical manifestation in our body and further leads to imbalances,” averred Mr. Kapoor. He added that most of the imbalances in life are mentally driven and affects people in cities more as compared to the village folks. He also stated that most of the issues in our life are related to the problems inside us and therefore it is important to know your roots, the subtle system within us that can be easily activated with the help of Sahaja Yoga Meditation and a pure desire within.  

Mr. Deoda shared the popularity of Sahaja Yoga and how it was helping people fight Covid-19 by boosting their immunity. He shared that Sahaja yoga enables Seekers become own ‘Doctors’; is completely natural; very scientific, spontaneous and is a live process that gives immediate experience.

 

A lecture by Mr. Khushal Lalwani, General Manager- Business Development, Telexcell Information Systems Ltd was delivered on ‘Public Speaking- A Key to Success in Any Field’. While addressing the virtual audience, Mr. Lalwani averred that one cannot carry their degree everywhere and thus it becomes important to be a good representor and good spokesperson. He added that most successful people have the one common thing that is good communication skill. “Public speaking is important with a reason. Know your agenda or why you want to communicate. If you know this you can communicate better. Come out of your comfort zone and then only you can reach success. Conquer your fear with confidence and belief. When you are speaking to public then you are at power. Everyone needs public speaking skills especially when you go out in field,” said Mr. Lalwani. He added that in this era in which we are living it is not possible to show your talent without public speaking. Knowing your passion is important and team can help you to reach far but without team you only can go fast not far.

He also stated that knowing your audience is most important. Prepared speech, Impromptu speeches, elevator speech, welcoming/ speech and evaluation speech are the type of speeches. “Public Speaking is not about others, it’s about your own self and expressing. Opening body conclusion is important for effective delivery of speech. Connect with your audience through examples, summary and relevance,” said Mr. Lalwani.       

 

A lecture by Padma Bhushan Prof. Jagdish Sheth was delivered on ‘Role of India in the New World Order’. While addressing Prof. Sheth said that retail sector come back much faster than we thought and recovery will happen at a faster rate. Human adopt changes fast in order to survive, people learn to improvise. He further added that consumer markets, infrastructure, defence and security will drive the future relationships. India's enviable ingredients are positive self-image, big consumer market, strong military, growing soft power, digital talent, defence and infrastructure investment opportunities. “Today we take pride being an Indian. The world is accepting Yoga, Namaste and many other aspects of Indian culture. India can become strategic globally by becoming the global hub for technical talent. India can gain soft power through globally admired brands; speed up digital infrastructure; invite foreign investment in India for global markets; provide huge economic incentives for innovation and entrepreneurship, said Prof. Sheth.

He further averred that there is new geopolitical order which can be opportunity for India. The traditional leaders and institutions are struggling to maintain world order. This has generated opportunity for new leadership and India is destined to become strategic globally. India has enviable ingredients but needs a recipe to take advantage of the new world order. Reposition India from a restricted domestic economy to globally integrated economy and from a low- tech nation to a high-tech nation.
