Webinar on ‘Manage Your Clients' Expectations -Role of fund Manager’

A webinar on ‘Manage Your Clients' Expectations -Role of fund Manager’ was conducted by Mr. Rohit Tandon Senior FM (Equity) Max Life Insurance Ltd revolving around Expectations from a Fund Manager in a growing Investment induced economy like India. He shared the thought process that drives fund management which has two pivots. Investment philosophy being one that gives policy holders an understanding what the fund stands for looking at the growth potential of a fund and buying it without looking at the price. The philosophy revolves around investing in large cap or mid cap funds among others. He also talked about the benchmark of performance a fund manager. He averred that the market witnessed broad based correction in March 2020.  All fund managers believe that they can outperform the market by virtue of their stocks. He also added that there has been a huge amount of information overload in the market and it’s difficult to identify between what’s more important and what’s not. It’s important for a fund manager to keep a track of how their funds are doing in comparison to their peers. Sellers are the most important constituents and the fund manager has to ensure that the right updated messages reach out to them. Their interest should be kept in mind and fund managers should have adequate experience of the sectors they deal in.

Dr. Punia said that when artificial intelligence helps people to take decisions, it is necessary to ensure that our values are focused. Ensure a sense of equality with an objective, transparent and objective of algorithmic, personal status, which means that artificial intelligence does not discriminate against any gender or disability. He said that in the criminal justice system, we cannot deny the discrimination of artificial intelligence because they will not take care of the situation and purpose of the crime and to promote the judicial process in accordance with the data provided. As per the selection of employment, the person will select as per the data provided so that if the data provider has denied the selection of a particular category, the AI will function accordingly.
