On 11 Apr 2022, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of German physician
Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the Founder of Homoeopathy, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine paid tribute to homoeopathy and its contribution to the world of medicine and celebrated World Homeopathy Day. This year, World Homeopathy Day was celebrated on the theme: People’s Choice for Wellbeing and Career Prospects in Homeopathy.
On this occasion, Dr. D.D. Vichitra, Ex-President of Noida Homoeopathy Medical Association and Dr. Nilanjana Basu, Sr. Homeopathic consultant were the resource persons.
Inaugural Session of the above program was held from 10 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at F-1 Seminar Hall of Amity University Noida Campus. During Inaugural Session, lighting of lamp ceremony was held and then Maa Sarawati Vandana was chanted.
During this ceremony, Dr. D.D. Vichitra, Dr. Nilanjana Basu, Dr. Priyanka-Homeopathic Consultant, Dr. Tanveer Naved, Joint Head, Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Dr. Swati Madan, Assistant Director, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine, Dr. Vinamra Sharma, Assistant Professor-III, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine, Dr. Sudhanshu Verma, Assistant Professor-II, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine and Mr. Sandeep Kumar, yoga Instructor, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine lighted the lamp collectively.
After Lamp Lighting ceremony, Dr. Vinamra Sharma started the program by welcoming the guests. Dr. Tanveer Naved addressed the students and extended his blessings.
Dr. Nilanjana Basu gave an impressive Introduction of the Theme “People’s Choice for Wellbeing and Career Prospects in Homeopathy” and thereafter, Dr. D.D. Vichitra gave a wonderful lecture on “New methods and approaches in Homeopathy” which is a need of hour. During his lecture, Dr. D.D. Vichitra also enlightened the participants about various yoga techniques, Pranayama and Meditation and also put enough light on the importance of lamp lighting very beautifully.
After the above session, Resource Persons were presented mementos by the team of Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine.
At the end, Dr. Swati Madan, Asst. Director, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine gave Vote of Thanks to all.
During Inaugural Session, around 90 candidates participated including 42 students of Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine.

Screening of Post COVID – Complications was conducted at AIISM Clinic wherein
Dr. D.D. Vichitra, Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Nilanjana Basu conducted OPD and attended patients.
On this occasion, team of Dr. Willmar Schwabe, Noida one of the pioneers in homoeopathy, also put their Standee and distributed free homeopathic medicines to all candidates.
During Homeopathic OPD, more than 150 candidates registered and took consultation.
Program was a great success and achieved its purpose successfully.
