Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, conducted Industry Advisory Board First Meet -2022, on 26th August 2022, with threefold purpose of inviting suggestion on curriculum, establishing Centres of Excellence for Industry support in development, and establishing Centres of Continuing Education for Industry Professionals.
The meeting invited participation from Industry professionals from diverse fields in Pharma industry, including Dr Atul Nasa (FDA, N Delhi), Sh Kunwar Arora, CEO, Pharmacovigilance and PEOR, Dr Anthony M Crasto API Research Consultant, Glenmark, Dr Parikshit Bansal, MD Bansal IP & Excellion Innovation (IPR consultant), Dr Hetal Shah, MD, MeWrit (Medical Writing), Sh Arjun Arora, MD, Chanakya Pharma (Pharma Entrepreneur), Sh Divesh Singla, VP, Signant Healthcare, Mr Manish Marwaha, MD Amulya Herbs, Mr Rajender Singh, Sr VP, Mankind Pharma and Mr Harish K Jain, Director, Embiotic Labs.
A comprehensive discussion on possibilities of collaboration in the above areas was held, wherein the panelist, both offline and online, suggesting the models for collaborative Industry Certification courses, setting up of Collaborative Drug Testing Lab, and taking up collaborative API process development projects. Dr Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, emphasized the significance of the collaboration and thanked the experts. Dr B C Das, Dean, Health and Allied Sciences(HAAS), AUUP, expressed the possibility of Translational Research and Dr Sandeep Arora, Convenor, moderated the sessions and discussed at length as to what was required and how the industry could pitch in.
