High-level Delegation from prestigious Business Schools of Europe, USA and Canada, visits Amity University

 

A High-level Delegation from prestigious Business Schools, namely Bocconi University, Italy, IE Business School, Spain, Schulich School of Business, Canada, George Washington University, USA, Syracuse University, USA and GMAC, USA, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus, with the aim to explore collaborative Academic Synergies between Amity University and leading B-Schools of Europe, USA and Canada. 

 

The delegation comprised of seven dignitaries from the B-Schools including Dr. Mario Tabarini, Head of Recruitment, SDA Bocconi School of Management, Ms. Namita Thitta, Assistant Managing Director, IE Business School , Mr. Shankar Trivedi, Director- Student Services, & International Relations, Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada, Ms. Elizabeth Blindauer, Assistant Director, Recruitment & Admissions, The George Washington University, USA, Ms. Srilakshmi Ramakrishnan, Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment, Syracuse University, USA, Mr. Paras Fatnani, Chief Strategy Officer, SEED Global Education and Mr. Sanjay Dhingra, Chief Operating Officer, SEED Global Education.

 

Highlighting the potential areas and scope of collaboration, Ms. Elizabeth Blindauer, Assistant Director, Recruitment & Admissions, The George Washington University, USA, averred, “The George Washington University School of Business would like to partner with Amity for Student Exchange Programmes, Dual Degree Programmes, Joint Degree Programs, Research collaboration, Cooperative Agreements, Summer School Immersions and Special Scholarships.”

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mario Tabarini, Head of Recruitment, SDA Bocconi School of Management, said, “Bocconi University is a renowned University where teaching is provided in the fields of economics, finance, management, political science and computer science etc. We have a large number of international students all over the world. We are looking at working on cooperation in various disciplines and Bocconi University offers a variety of scholarships to postgraduate students.”

Emphasizing upon the areas of collaboration in context with New Education Policy 2020,  Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities, stated, “The New Education Policy provides immense opportunities for academic collaboration including offering Joint, twinning and Dual Degrees, bringing global Universities to India to have their joint campuses, integrating technology in building long-term, profitable and sustainable partnerships through e-learning and co-branded Programs, offering beneficial internships and exposure to students through India Immersion Programs, building research, training and consulting partnerships through short-duration Joint Programs and Certifications.”

 

On this occasion, Dr Sanjeev Bansal, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), introduced the Senior Faculty Members of Amity to the delegation, highlighting the keys areas in Academics & Research. The visit of the delegation concluded with an interactive session with the students of Amity, felicitations of the guests and a Campus Familiarization Tour.
