The celebrations were organized under the aegis of the office of Dean Students’ Welfare in association with Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture. Government of India had decided to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at national and international level to propagate his message of Truth & Non-violence and Amity University supported this mission by organizing a series of events throughout the day.

While on one end, a stellar musical performance was given by students of Rhythm Divine Group, melodious Bhajans were also recited by the students remembering Bapu.

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University advised the students to not just remember Mahatma Gandhi, but also follow his footsteps. “The youth today has umpteen power to bring change. Be a man of action and share words on social media,” said Dr Ramavat. She also inspired the students of Amity University to take a pledge to accept the truth taught by Gandhi and be the torchbearer.
