In a historic moment, Amity University-National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur have signed an MoU and joined hands to promote Indian System of Medicine in the field of research and development. .
Prof. (Dr) Sanjeev Sharma, the Director, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur under the governance of Ministry of AYUSH and Amity university have come together for fulfilling the vision and mission of our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for Swasth Bharat (Healthy India). They together have agreed to play a major role in important scheme like PAN India skill development, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana Abhiyan (PMJAY) and AYUSHMAN BHARAT.

Taking the mission forward, Amity University and National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur had signed this agreement by Prof. (Dr) Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science, Technology & Innovation Foundation and Prof. (Dr) Sanjeev Sharma, Director, National Institute of Ayurveda in the gracious presence of Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, AUR and along with the Director, Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine Prof. (Dr) S.K. Rajput and NIA fraternity. The objective of the MoU is to provide the research benefits and integrated innovation of the traditional system of medicine. This ceremony was held in Amity University, Jaipur where Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Kalraj Mishra was the Chief Guest.
Prof. (Dr) Sanjeev Sharma has mentioned that NIA is involved in various Research activities through PG and Ph.D. and sponsored projects including clinical trials. During the MoU signing ceremony Prof (Dr) Selvamurthy has focused on Amity vision in integrated Health promotion through Yoga and Ayurveda system of medicine across the globe.
Amity Institute of Indian System of Medicine of Amity University is actively involved in various research projects for promoting AYUSH system of medicine. On this occasion Dr. Chauhan has emphasized to establish center of excellence for Ayurveda and herbal research. For the same he has allocated 10-15 acre land in Amity Jaipur campus.
