Amity University campus resonates with the energy of its Undergraduate Freshers

 Auspicious Havan performed by the Vice Chancellor to mark the occasion

 

Amity University once again resonated with energy and enthusiasm as Undergraduate Freshers join Amity University, marking the beginning of the new session. An auspicious “Havan” was performed by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, along with senior faculty members and parents of the students, as per the Amity tradition. A five-day Orientation Programme has also been organized at the Amity campus to familiarize the freshers with the university rules, curriculum, code of conduct, values and culture, from 12th-16th September 2022.

 

Addressing the students on this occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, averred, “Stepping into college life after passing out of school, is a huge milestone in the life of a student. There is a vast difference between school and college life and students must take ownership of their life and career, once they reach college. Though the parents and teachers are always available for support and guidance, it is the students who have to work hard and study sincerely so as to attain their career goals. Amity's aim is to provide all-round development of students, apart from imparting high-quality education and it lays a strong emphasis on imbibing cultural values amongst the students. Students are the future leaders of tomorrow and the responsibility on making their country a developed country rests on their shoulders.” She also called upon the parents to keep a check on their child’s day to day progress at Amity by logging on to the University portal, Amizone, so that they are aware of the activities of their children within the campus.

Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity University, said, “Students must be extremely grateful to their parents and the almighty as they have got a big opportunity to study at an institution like Amity, which is the no.1 Private University in the country. Amity provides the best curriculum, infrastructure and a global exposure through its Study Abroad Programmes, by which each and every student gets the opportunity to study at reputed global institutions.” He wished the students a bright future and advised them to study hard and contribute to nation-building.

Also, present on the occasion were, Dr. D.K. Bandyopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Amity University, Dr. Abhay Bansal, Joint Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, amongst other Head of Institutions and Senior Faculty Members of Amity. During the Five-day Orientation programme, Talent Hunt contests, will also be organized through which the students will get an opportunity to showcase their talent and hone their skills, apart from other extra-curricular activities which have been planned as a part of the Orientation Programme
