Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus, in association with SPIC-MACAY (the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Among Youth), organized screening of the classic film, "Making of the Mahatma" directed by Mr. Shyam Benegal, an eminent Award-Winning Director, which was followed by an Interactive Session with the lead actor of the film, Mr Rajit Kapur, who won the National Award for Best Actor, for this film. Apart from this, Mr Kapur has acted in over 50 films and has appeared in several Television shows, including “Byomkesh Bakshi”, being one of his most memorable shows.?
Advising the students of Amity, Mr. Rajit Kapur, averred, “Students who aspire to become actors must be hard working, dedicated and passionate about acting. Their personal ideologies should not conflict with the ideologies of the character which they are portraying. However, one must understand the psyche of the character, so that one can make it real and believable on screen. Every actor must find his own path and there is no universal formula which applies to all, for being successful. Students of Amity are privileged and unfortunate to have Amity School for Film and Drama and they must use the opportunity to the fullest as it is rare to find such institutions.”

He is incredibly talented and has entertained the audience through his craft, over many decades. What he has shared today with the students of Amity, will remain with them, as a highly valuable guidance forever and the students will learn immensely by listening to his journey, struggles, learning, knowledge and experiences.”
The students of Amity asked Mr. Rajit Kapur, many interesting questions about his acting career, journey and roles which he has played on screen and the session concluded with felicitation of the guest.
