Amity Institute for Sanskrit Studies and Research (AISSR), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus organized the Fourth Edition of Annual National Seminar, ‘Sanskrit Samwad- 2024’ on the theme “Utility of Sanskrit Knowledge Tradition for Viksit Bharat”. The aim of the Seminar was to recognize and propagate Sanskrit Knowledge Tradition and emphasize s upon the significance of Sanskrit for a developed India.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sachchidananda Mishra, Secretary, Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), averred, “India will become a developed country by 2047, under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister as he is constantly driving the country on the path of development through his consistent efforts. However, when we think about development, we must think about the development of all human beings, plants and animals. We must aim for sustainable development which can create a peaceful world and protect our mother earth. India’s culture, tradition and values are well recognized the world over and in the current scenario, we must at look at reviving our ancient culture and traditions so that we can create a better future not only for ourselves but for the entire world."
Welcoming the guests, Dr. Shrutikant Pandey, Head of Institution, Amity Institute for Sanskrit Studies and Research said, “Sanskrit is one of the most ancient Indian languages. All Holy Scriptures such as Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, Bhagvad Gita and Ramayan are written in Sanskrit language. Sanskrit was the most respected and scientific language of India and the time has come again that it should be given the same respect, and people should start acknowledging its power.”
During the Seminar, two Panel Discussions were held wherein experts from Delhi University, JNU, ICPR, IGNOU and Kumaon University, shared their views. In addition, Research Papers were presented by the Research Scholars.
