Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus, is organizing the 16th International Conference on Cloud Computing Data Science and Engineering (Confluence - 2026) from 22nd to 23rd January 2026. The conference aims to bring together the academia, industry, entrepreneurs and researchers to discuss the challenges, advancements and prospects in the field of Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Data Sciences, innovation in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and Cloud Computing. Confluence- 2026 has received more than 800 research papers from academic institutions, research organizations and industries from across the globe. Out of these 115 reviewed, accepted and registered papers will be presented during the Conference, in different technical sessions.
Addressing the students during the Inaugural Session, Mr. Kenny Kesar, Global Chief Information Officer, Wipro, averred, “The role of technology is crucial in a country’s development. Wipro collaborates with institutions such as Amity to train and empower the youth in the area of disrupting technologies. We must look at how AI is changing the landscape of technology, by bringing in new modules and applications. We are committed to engaging with and fostering young talent who will transform the technological landscape of the country.”
Dr. Ravindra Singh, DG(R&M), DRDO, Scientist H, Ministry of Defence, stated, “A country becomes developed only by using cutting -edge technology in all domains including agriculture, space, healthcare, finance, smart cities, infrastructure, transportation, etc. The youth must understand the fundamentals and make their foundation strong so that they become great future leaders who can lead the world with the power of technology.”
Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, AUUP, said, “The Conference was initiated in the year 2009 with the aim to connect our students with the industry and provide them guidance and learning about how to use technology in various sectors for the benefit of the society. Students must listen carefully to the experts to enhance their knowledge and develop their skills.”
Emphasizing upon India’s role as a technology leader, Mr. Sunil Gupta, Cofounder, MD & CEO Yotta Data Services Pvt. Ltd. opined, “At the recently concluded World Economic Forum in Davos, Hon’ble Minister of Electronics and IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw said that today, India is in the first category of AI economies. India has a comprehensive AI strategy across the five layers of AI architecture, including application, model, chip, infrastructure, and energy. India’s AI mission was launched in 2024 with an aim to create a robust, self-reliant, and globally competitive AI ecosystem for India by democratizing access and fostering innovation. The youth of today are fortunate to be born in an era where so much is happening around them and new technologies are emerging every day. The need of the hour is to enhance the AI ecosystem of the country and create new technologies for the benefit of the masses.”
On this occasion Honorary Professorship was conferred upon Mr. Amit Dubey, Director, Mobi Armour Technologies Private Ltd and Prof. Xing Quan (Hill) Zhu, Florida Atlantic University, USA.
Accepting the honour, Mr. Amit Dubey, asserted, “I am immensely grateful to Amity University for bestowing this honour upon me. There is a lack of AI experts in the country and cyber crimes are increasing at a rapid rate. With the aim to bridge this gap, we have envisioned to train 3 million youth in the area of cyber security so that they can prevent cybercrimes and help the victims in case of such incidents.”
Delivering his Acceptance Speech, Prof. Xing Quan (Hill) Zhu, said, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to Amity for this huge honour and providing me with the opportunity to share my knowledge with the students and guide them in the best possible way.”
Highlighting the significance of the Conference, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, said, “This conference, now in its 16th iteration will have participation of leading academicians, industry leaders and experts from various sectors, making this event a remarkable convergence of expertise and insight, featuring extensive sessions, international career pathways, academia and industry linkages, and alumni sessions, providing a platform for intellectual exchange and collaboration.”
Sharing his experience, Amity Alumnus, Pavas Navaney Software Engineer, Oracle America, said, “I was always interested in blockchain technology and Amity has been instrumental in shaping my career. I urge the students to go beyond their curriculum and make the best use of the various opportunities provided by the University.”
Amity Alumnus, Shivek Chhabra, lead SketchDeck.ai, stated, “Amity has helped me immensely in defining my career path. At our company, we use technology to enable colour blind people, however, the problems and tools for solving those problems keep changing and we need to constantly upgrade ourselves with the latest tools.” He called upon the students to think critically, keep learning and work hard.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities, Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation, senior faculty and students. During the three- day Conference, technical Sessions and Papers Presentations will be held on various topics such as “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning”, “Networks & Cyber Security”, “IOT, Cloud Computing & Blockchain”, “Artificial Intelligence & Data Science” and others.
