Casa Asia is a public institution constituted by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Regional Government of Catalonia and the City Councils of Barcelona and Madrid. The event was organized by Casa Asia with the collaboration of UNESCO, the United Nations Association of Spain with the financial support of the Spanish Agency for International Development and Cooperation

  • Short Description

    Professor (Dr.) Nirupama Prakash is a sociologist. She graduated from Delhi University, pursued Masters in Sociology from JNU, Delhi and Ph.D from BHU, Varanasi. She has undertaken post doctoral work in medical sociology at Hartshill Medical Institute, Stoke-On-Trent, U.K. Professor Prakash is currently serving as Director, Amity Institute of Social Sciences, Amity University-Noida. Prior to joining Amity University in 2013, she served as Professor of Sociology, Head, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and Coordinator, Centre for Women Studies at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh in India. Earlier she served BITS, Pilani (1995-2010) as Chief, Women Studies and Societal Development Unit, Head, Department of Humanistic Studies and Coordinator, M.Phil program in Hospital and Health Systems Management. Under Faculty exchange program, she was deputed for training in Health Systems at the Department of Health Systems Management, T
