Performance Evaluation of Forward Osmosis Membrane System for Applications within the Agriculture an(NA)
Forward osmosis (FO) membrane technology is attracting increasing interest as a promising sustainable method by utilizing osmotic pressure difference between a dilute feed solution and a concentrated draw solution to induce mass transport of water through semipermeable membranes. The FO technology has attracted increasing attention some of the claimed advantages are that by using osmotically driven process and not a hydraulic pressure process, energy usage and fouling is reduced. by (Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi)
