    A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF CRIME,LEGAL PROCEDURE,PENANCE & FORBIDDEN AS REFLECTED IN DHARMASUTRAS(INDIAN COUNCIL OF HISTORICAL RESEARCH NEW DELHI)
    The Dharmasutras represent the oldest tradition of codification & Compilation of Law/Legal Norms in ancient India. A close study of the Dharmasutras is imperative if we want to appreciate the legal, cultural and religious history of the circa 500-100 B.C. The tradition of Dharma during the time immediately preceding the Common Era appears to have been consistent, vibrant and dynamic as reflected in numerous contradictory opinions of experts recorded in the Dharma sutras.     Dr. Pushpraj Singh, b.1978 Researcher & Historian specialized in African History & Religion, Indian History & Ancient Indian Cultural & Religious Literature( Doctorate,University of Delhi India),Pushpraj Singh was earlier associated with University of Tripura, India as Assistant Professor in History. He has also taught M.Phil & PhD Students in University of Delhi.He has also worked as Counsellor (MA History Programme) & Assistant Coordinator of IGNOU Study Centre at Bhagini Nivedia College (University of Delhi) from 2013 to 2016. Prior to joining Amity Institute of Social Sciences he was working with Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies & School of Law (Affiliated to GGSIPU,Dwarka) as HOD & Program Coordinator of School of Law.He has written extensively on different themes related to African History, African Religion, Indian Religious literature & traditions, Islam & Religion in general and has been a recipient of various grants & awards from Delhi Univ, HRD Ministry & other R
