    Health and Family Welfare Infrastructure (Private and Public Sector) in East Khasi Hills (Meghalaya)(Population Research Centre, Guwhati, Assam)
    The study has been conducted in thirty-five villages from all the seven blocks of East Khasi Hill district of Meghalaya. The data collection was on the various health aspects related to women and children in the community. It was on their health profile, the infrastructure available and the role of different government and private institutions in providing health facilities to the population covered in the study. The data was especially collected on abortions conducted in the public and privateby (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India)

    Demographic and genetic studies related to the incidence of Neural Tube Defects (NTDs)(Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi)
    The project aimed to assess the role of hyperthermia, drug exposure and chronic illness of the mother during pregnancy behind the Neural Tube Defect child. Besides to study the role of PAX-1, 3, 7 & 9 genes in the incidence of Neural Tube Defect and to screen the mothers of Neural Tube Defects and the control mothers for MTHFR C677T polymorphism. To achieve the above mentioned objectives, the study was carried out in different hospitals of Delhi, after the ethical clearances, for the collectioby (Indian Council of Medical Research)
