Dr. Deepak Ganjewala at present working as Assistant Professor Gr.-III at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Noida received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry jointly from Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) and University of Lucknow, UP, India. He earned Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Devi Ahiliya University, and Bachelor's degree in Biology from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, India. His area of interest in research is to study biosynthesis and regulation of essential oils in Cymbpogon species. The most productive approach in this area has been a multidisciplinary one which utilizes the best tools from the fields of chemistry, (GLC, HPLC, GC-MS and NMR), biochemistry (enzyme isolation and purification), molecular biology (isolation and characterization of cDNAs, RAPD and RFLP) and plant physiology (radiotracer techniques using [2-14C], 14CO2 and 13C-glucose).
