Cloning mer operon by metagenomic approach for mercury sequestration(None)
Mercury is one of the most toxic heavy metals and the sixth most toxic chemical in the list of hazardous compounds Bioremediation technology uses microorganisms to reduce, eliminate, contain, or transform to benign products contaminants present in soils, sediments, water, and air. Metagenomic libraries for mer operon will be constructed, To explore the tolerance of the clones to the heavy metals, optimal culture conditions will be used with varying initial mercury concentrations.
