While addressing Dr Dheeraj said that Innovation means different things to different people and organization. It could be as simple as" successful commercial exploitation". Research and Development is transformation of money to knowledge while innovation is transformation of Knowledge to money. “Research is necessary but not a sufficient condition for innovation. There are six levers that underpin innovation that are value proposition, value network, target customer, product/services, process technologies and supporting technologies. Often organization focus overly on business model or technology leavers of innovation, best results can be achieved by using both set of leavers - Business Model Innovation and Technology innovation,” said Dr. Bhardwaj.
