Role & Responsibilities

The Anti-Ragging Committee will have following responsibilities:

  1. To ensure compliance with the provisions of the law, Supreme Court directions and regulations in force concerning ragging.
  2. To design strategies and action plan for curbing the menace of ragging in the University.
  3. To investigate the complaints with regard to ragging in the University.
  4. To Monitor and oversee the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squads and Institution/Department Level Anti Ragging Committee in prevention of ragging in the University.
  5. To inculcate a culture of Ragging Free Environment and conduct awareness programmes from time-to-time in the University.
  6. Plan and conduct regular review meetings regarding, implementation, complaints, activities conducted etc.
  7. To examine the report received from the Proctor on duty/Squad/Patrols and recommend appropriate punishment which will be awarded after the approval of the Chairperson, Anti-Ragging Monitoring and Execution Cell.

Tenure of Committee will be of one year (valid upto 30th June 2026).
