Amity University and Sekisho Corporation Japan, join hands to provide employment opportunities to the students

A senior delegation from Sekisho Corporation, Japan and Ibaraki Prefecture, led by Mr. Mesaki Seki, President Sekisho Corporation, visited Amity University to host a Job Fair and provide employment opportunities to Amity students in Japanese Companies, thereby further strengthening the ties between the two organizations. On this occasion, a Japanese Media interaction was organized with Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University and Mr. Mesaki Seki, President Sekisho Corporation Japan, focussing on the aim and vision for this partnership.

The Japanese Companies Job Fair is being organized at Amity University in which 4 companies from Japan including Sekisho Corporation (Corporate Planning Dept, Mobility Dept, DX Dept), Sekisho Engineering, Kurakawa Co. Ltd., Nitto Electric Co., Ltd. (Nittocorp), will be participating, with the aim to interview the students of Amity for campus placement opportunities, in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Computer Science.

Speaking about the reason behind Sekisho Corporation’s collaboration with Amity, Mr. Mesaki Seki, President, Sekisho Corporation, averred, “The main reason why we collaborated with Amity University is because in 2020, after the outbreak of Covid, our company approached various Universities but the response from Amity was phenomenal and welcoming. The warmth with which Amity welcomed us last time, has always remained in our heart and we are extremely delighted about this mutually beneficial partnership. Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, is very keen on having more Indians as part of its workforce since Indians have immense potential, exceptional qualities, and treat their customers as God. We would like to have people from different nationalities working in Sekisho Corporation since diversity brings in new perspectives, thoughts and ideas which are immensely beneficial for an organization. Sekisho Corporation has just completed 116 years, and we are proud of this huge milestone. The company values its employees and awards them for their loyalty, sincerity, dedication and hard work.”

Talking about challenges, he further said that communication is the key to overcoming all challenges and every task should be approached with a positive mindset since no task is difficult and all problems can be solved through collaboration and communication.

Expressing extreme pleasure on partnering with Sekisho Corporation, Japan, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, stated, “We are extremely delighted and proud of this partnership since we share a great bond of friendship with Sekisho Corporation as the company has already established its Japanese Desk at Amity. Amity’s strength lies in the fact that the institution is highly concerned about the employability of its students and strongly focusses on providing immense global exposure to its students. Amity also lays strong emphasis on imbibing human values in the students and encouraging them to become good human beings.” He further said that the future of a country belongs to the youth and sensitization of the youth is extremely important since when they visit a new country, they are new to the culture of that country and are unable to understand how to integrate their knowledge and skills with the work environment of the other country.

Highlighting the attributes of the youth, he further added, “The youth of India is highly adaptable, hardworking, passionate for success and extremely loyal to their organization with great values and high morals. This partnership will provide an opportunity to the youth to enhance their skills and knowledge.” Dr. Chauhan suggested to conduct a case study for Amity’s management students about Sekisho Corporation completing 116 years so that they can learn about the factors responsible for establishing a strong organization, which can survive for more than 100 years and have employees working for a long time.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “Amity University is extremely delighted to partner with Sekisho Corporation Japan since Japan and India share a great relationship and this partnership will further enhance mutual cooperation by providing employment opportunities to Amity students.”
