International Conference on Innovation in Visual Arts(ICIVA-2025), held at Amity

Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) organised an “International Conference on Innovation in Visual Arts” (ICIVA `2025) on the theme, “Art, Design and Innovation: Reimagining Creative Practice in a Global Era". Participants from various renowned institutions such as Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, College of Art, New Delhi, Jagran Lake City University, Bhopal, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Department of Painting, College of Fine Arts, JNAFAU, Hyderabad, and others presented Research papers during the Conference.

 

Encouraging the participants, Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology and Amity School of Fine Arts, opined, “ The Conference will be immensely beneficial for the students since they will be able to enhance their skills and knowledge by listening to the esteemed guests.”

 

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Maity University Uttar Pradesh, stated, “ Innovation is required in every field, whether it’s science or arts. Visual Art has become very popular and fine arts is evolving as a career since more fine arts professionals are required in creative fields these days.”

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kshitij Kaul, Director-Marketing & Growth, Outlook Media India, averred, “ Advertising is an apt field for artists since it requires creativity and new ideas. With more online platforms existing now, digital art has evolved and more opportunities are available to the students in this field.”

 

Advising the students, Ms. Nupur Kundu, Eminent Artist, India, said, “I’m always inspired to interact with the students of art since art is my passion. A lot of new opportunities are emerging for fine art students today.” She called upon the students to have a mentor in life, innovate, nurture their curiosity and stay honest.

 

Deliberating upon Digital Products, Ms. Smita Pawa, Creative Director at Photon, Dallas, Texas, U.S.A, stated, “A Digital product is a software application, website or platform, which provides some sort of value to its users. Products usability and performance frequently determine whether users will return to your app or website. Therefore, what consumers see online must attract them , not only visually but should also be useful for them.”

 

During the Conference, Technical Sessions on topics such as “Tradition, Folk Narratives & Contemporary Visual Cultures”, “Technology, Innovation & Emerging Practices in Art and Design”, and “Contemporary Practices, Critical Discourses & Creative Futures” were held along with Paper Presentations.
