Experts encourage students to contribute to Viksit Bharat during the 4th edition of TEDxAmity University Noida

Amity University Noida campus organized the 4th Edition of TEDxAmity University Noida on the theme “Roots to Rise: Empowering Youth with Heritage for a Sustainable Future of Viksit Bharat.” The event saw participation of 13 distinguished speakers and performers representing diverse fields, including technology, entertainment and design, who shared inspiring stories resonating with motto of TED i.e “Ideas Worth Spreading”.

 

Deliberating upon climate change, Climate Activist, Ms. Navya, averred, “We must adopt eco-friendly practices since the world is facing major crisis of climate change. Sustainable products and services must be used, and we should leave no stone unturned to save our planet, in every possible way. A sustainable economy is a major goal towards Viksit Bharat and students must take the lead and contribute immensely towards achieving this goal.”

Narrating her inspiring story, Ms. Vaishali Mathur, BCCI Coach and Ex-Cricketer, said, “Earlier cricket was considered a boys’ game and girls rarely played cricket since they were discouraged by their families. However, my family trusted and supported me and allowed me to play cricket. The moment you give up and get defeated by challenges, you become a failure, therefore, never get defeated by anything in life and keep working hard towards your goals.”

 

Globally recognized mind- body Yoga Therapist Ms. Sunaina Rekhi emphasized upon the importance of yoga for a healthy body and mind and said that our thoughts not only affect our mind but also affect our body. Yoga benefits not only our body but also relaxes our mind. Every person must practice yoga since it has immense benefits, and only healthy citizens can contribute to Viksit Bharat.”

 

Nationally Acclaimed Anchor Ms. Kalpana Mishra, stated “Public speaking and communication skills are an integral part of our personality. We must aim to develop these skills since it helps in developing confidence and make our personality strong.”

 

Sharing her journey, Ms. Mehak Dhingra, Miss Charm India 2025 and Ms. Universe India Second Runner Up, said, “I was very focussed and never gave up throughout my journey of winning the prestigious Ms. Universe India beauty pageant. Hard work, dedication, resilience and perseverance are essential for achieving your goals and fulfilling your dreams.”

 

Young Industrial Designer Ms. Komal Panda and Architect Mr. Aakash Nidhi Jha, opined, “Today, our country’s infrastructure is undergoing transformation and new airports, railway stations and highways are being constructed in every part of the country. Innovation in design is extremely important so that new ideas can be conceptualised into strong buildings and structures which are not only beautiful but also climate-resistant.” 

 

Ms. Vandana Tolani, CEO and Founder Convanto, asserted, “It is extremely important to understand how to invest your money in the right way so that maximum returns can be obtained. Economic growth is crucial for Viksit Bharat and every citizen of our country should be financially literate.”

 

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor AUUP, stated, “TEDx Amity University Noida team has grown stronger with each edition. The journey towards the fourth edition reflects Amity’s sustained commitment to innovation, excellence, and a global perspective. The event is entirely student-led, providing students with a unique experiential learning opportunity that enhances their leadership, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, while nurturing creativity, responsibility, and global outlook.”

 

Welcoming the guests, Dr. Alpana Kakkar, Dean Student Support & Academic Affairs, said, TEDx is a globally recognized, independently organized platform that fosters the exchange of ideas worth spreading. The theme celebrates the integration of India’s rich cultural heritage with progressive thinking to inspire responsible leadership, sustainable development, and nation-building among the youth, values that closely align with the philosophy of holistic education and leadership.”

 

Electrifying Sitar and Sarod Jugal Bandi performances by Mohan Brothers mesmerised the audience. While beautiful Odissi dance by Nationally Acclaimed Young Odissi Artist Ms. Ananya Jugade and a spiritual story by “The Temple Girl” Ms. Namratha Mohan received a thundering applause from the audience.
