Amity University Noida campus organized a Registration Cum Orientation Programme for Ph.D scholars of January 2026 Batch, on 6th & 7th February 2026, wherein around 300 scholars have enrolled for PhD Programme, in different domains including Arts, Journalism & Communication, Humanities, Bio-Sciences & Biotechnology, Management Studies, Health and Allied Sciences, Science & Technology, Engineering, Social Sciences, and others.
The Orientation Programme commenced with a sacred “Havan” performed by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and senior officials in the presence of the head of institutions, faculty members and research scholars.
Addressing the PhD. Scholars, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, stated, “Research and innovation is the key focus area through which research scholars can contribute to nation building, therefore, it is extremely crucial for them to choose the right subject which is path-breaking and addresses societal needs. Research Scholars must seek the guidance of their mentors and make full use of the opportunities which are provided to them.”
Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities, averred, "Prayers have immense power and prayers along with strong focus and determination can help you to achieve anything in life. Research scholars should do collaborative research and international exposure provides them with more opportunities for collaboration."
Dr. K.M. Soni, In-charge of the Ph.D. Department, Amity University, said, "All the facilities for doing research in various domains, are available at Amity, so research scholars must avail them, and we wish all the scholars a bright future full of growth and unlimited opportunities.”
During the two-day Orientation Programme, Ph.D. Regulations and Guidelines will be provided to the scholars. In addition, presentations on various topics such as “Amity’s Research and Innovation Initiatives” by Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President - Amity Science, Technology & Innovation Foundation (ASTIF), “Global opportunities for PhD. Scholars” by Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities, ‘Research Fundamentals to AI-Driven Innovations’ by Prof. (Dr.) M.K. Dutta, Director - Amity Centre for Artificial Intelligence, amongst others, will be held.
