Delegates from Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), visit Amity University to provide career opportunities to the students

Senior leaders from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), visited Amity University Noida campus, with an aim to enable the students to identify suitable employment opportunities within the Japanese Civil & Infrastructure sector.

 

The Delegation comprised of Mr. Yoshihiro Tabata, Director for Overseas Strategies for the Construction Industry, International Markets Division, Real Estate and Construction Economy Bureau Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) , Mr. Kento Ito, Director for Overseas Business, International Markets Division, Real Estate and Construction Economy Bureau Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Ms. Maki Sato, Chief Official International Markets Division, Real Estate and Construction Economy Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Mr. Shinsaku Tanaka, Manager, Public Services Division, PwC Consulting LLC and Mr. Masato Wada, Senior Associate, Public Services Division PwC Consulting LLC.

 

Mr. Yoshihiro Tabata, Director for Overseas Strategies for the Construction Industry, International Markets Division, Real Estate and Construction Economy Bureau, MLIT, stated, “Our company is responsible for overseas expansion of Japanese construction companies. We are glad to be present here today and would like to recruit the bright, intelligent and dynamic Amity students in our companies and provide them with hands on training and work experience, so that they can contribute to the growth of our companies.”

 

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, averred, “Amity students are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to adapt to different work cultures across the world. With Japan, we share a very close association, and Japanese language is taught as one of the foreign languages at Amity. In addition, we also have a Japanese help Desk at Amity, to guide the students and provide them with all the help and support. Our students visit Japan every year to participate in Sakura Science Program. We would like to establish a Japanese Dashboard at Amity, where students can find all the information regarding employment opportunities in Japanese companies. Our partnership with MLIT will help in strengthening our collaboration with Japan and pave the way forward to new opportunities and avenues.”

 

Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pratap Singh, Dean - Faculty of Architecture Planning and Design, emphasised, “Amity University recognizes Japan as a global leader in infrastructure excellence, resilient urban systems, a benchmark in transport engineering and logistics and a nation which is committed to technological precision and quality. Our objective is to develop a structured academic-industry pathway supporting Japanese civil and infrastructure sectors through skilled graduates. Students from engineering, architecture and planning, travel and tourism, built environment and infrastructure, domains will prove to be an asset to MLIT companies.”

 

Dr. Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, Director Amity Technical Placement Centre said, “As Japan’s largest ministry, the MLIT oversees national infrastructure, transport, and international technological cooperation. Their visit to Amity University is a testament to our institution's growing international reputation.”
