A lecture on ‘Corporate Culture and Leadership’ was delivered by Mr Pankaj Kumar Sinha - Manager - Human Resources - Ebix Technologies Pvt Ltd for students of Amity Business School. Mr. Sinha gave a brief overview of his organizations and shared the upcoming hiring opportunities. He stated that Retail Banking domain is the core focus of his organization. He suggested students to have knowledge and skills of the IT functions related to their field of career for instance SQL as the organizations in the coming times are looking to hire employees having these basic skills. He shared the role of a salesperson or a business analyst is very integral to a project and requires extremely good communication skills along & also has extensive travel requirements.
He averred that corporate etiquette is a set of rules that govern the way people interact with once another in business, with customers, vendors and within teams. He shared the basic of corporate etiquette including following punctuality; dressing appropriately; using full name while introducing oneself; Giving respect to others; maintaining visibility to market oneself and the work done; behaving impeccably during meetings; having sensitivity & diplomacy and maintaining positive body language.
