    In the present project, we have proposed the synthesis of 1D and 2D carbon based nanomaterials decorated with metal oxide nanoparticles as potential nanomaterials for photocatalytic property to provide a mixed platform to increase light harvesting efficiency associated with cell growth as well as trigger the lipid synthesis for higher biodiesel production. This novel nanobionic approach will make the algal system more productive and with the reuse of nanomaterials spontaneous production of biodby (Mission Innovation Unit, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of science & technology)
